Since Hurricane Harvey started it's horrific path into Texas, the rest of the world has watched in heartbreak. We live in NY and RJ has been begging us to get a boat and go rescue people in Texas. That is not a realistic option, as we are in NY and we do not own a boat. I do however appreciate his desire to help. This same desire has risen up in a lot of people and they who are able, have responded to the need. When I see the devastation left behind it's mind numbing. I have a hard time comprehending what is taking place. I'm in NY and it's hard to process. For those living it, thousands of people, it's devastating. Everything gone. Lives lost. I am sure they will rebuild, but it's going to take a long time. We have been praying for them and will continue to do so. We can't go in person, but we did go by giving. We did go by praying. Texas is not the only place flooding, it's happening in several other countries. As mind numbing as it can get, I will not let it overcome me. I will keep my eyes heavenward and pray, for the Lord's soon return. I will choose to love those around me and show kindness. Let this be a lesson learned. Life can change at any moment. Be the good in the world around you. God is still good.

For several days we have been seeing pictures of the devastation that Hurricane Harvey has brought to Texas. Tonight there was lady's prayer. I got on my knees and started to shake Heaven for Texas. I reminded God of the rainbow that he gave as a promise to not flood the earth again. I know Texas is not the entire earth, but it's the entire "world" for those who are being flooded from their homes. I am shaking Heaven for Texas and I am thanking God in advance for a plethora of rainbows that will declare that the storms are over! He is Jehivah Jirah and he will provide. For all my family and friends in Texas, we are praying for you. I don't understand it, but I trust the creator. He does not lie. The rain will stop and the sun will shine again! God is good.

Today Bethel had a guest speaker. Bro. Dan Davis from Louisiana preached on "The Visit", with his main text from Acts 7:20-25. I liked his style of preaching. He reminded me a lot of his dad, Bishop Davis, he also has the spunk of his mom, otherwise known as Mother Shepherd. I love the Davis Family and appreciate all they do. Please keep him in your prayers, since parts of Louisiana are also being affected by Hurricane Harvey. Bro. Davis preached from his heart and it was very stirring. This particular part of the Bible was written by Stephen. He was a "waiter" and not really gifted in speaking and it seems this was his only sermon. The story is about Moses. Moses came to visit with the intent of setting his people free. We must realize that when we read about Moses, he is a type of Christ. You can learn a lot about Jesus, when you study Moses. Moses, came and saw that a Hebrew was being mistreated, He defended the Hebrew. He did this with the intent of delivering the Hebrews. They didn't see it this way and told him to leave. Moses came as a visit to deliver and was turned away. This generation of Hebrews missed their deliverance. The second time that Moses came, they were delivered and in the wilderness. They went to see the Promised Land and 10 out of the 12 let fear rule their hearts. They didn't believe that they could possess The Promised Land. This generation wandered in the wilderness for 40 years, they too missed out on the promise of God. When Jesus comes for a visit, it's not just to be with you, it's to transform you. He was to deliver you and take you from where you are to your promised land. Where are you on your journey. Are you in the generation that will taste his promises? Don't get left behind because of doubt. When things go bad and don't seem to be happening the way you expect, keep walking. You can die in your sins or walk into your promise. Don't go back to what God has delivered you from, when things get tough. Keep walking. Jesus didn't come to visit, just to make you feel good, he came to pick you up from where you are and put you where you need to be. There are at least three mentions in the Bible when Jesus healed the bed-ridden. He told them to take up their bed and walk. To the lady accused of adultery and after he wrote in the sand, he told her to go and sin no more. When Jesus heals you and delivers you; you are go keep walking and not go back to what you had done before. It's almost easier to go back to what is comfortable, don't do it. Keep walking. The Israelites messed it up at least twice. God has a plan for you. Take spiritual responsibility and when things get rough, keep walking. Every blessing and miracle becomes meaningless if you give up now. There is no eternal reward if you give up now. When it gets hard, keep your head down low, and keep walking and working for the Lord. Don't get sidetracked, keep your hand in the hand of the master. God has a promise for you, keep walking. God is good. Please continue to pray for Texas.

It seems more often then not, we have been having prayers for tragic situations. Some of them man made and some are like what has just taken place in Texas. We are just beginning to see the tip of what Hurricane Harvey is slamming into the state. I remember all to well what occurred in NY from Hurricane Sandy. It was bad, but it will be no where near what Texas is going to have to endure. I pray that more lives are not lost. I pray that this storm doesn't last as long as it's predicted to stay. It's easy to carry on with our daily life and forget that at the same moment someone is going through the worst time of their life. Be gracious to others, show kindness and chose love. You don't know what your tomorrow may bring. Say a prayer for Texas. God is good all the time.

Today we had a Playdate with some friends at Sagamore Hill. We had a good tour of the house that Teddy Roosevelt lived in, located in Oyster Bay. Today was a special day and there was also old fashioned toys for the boys to play with. Later in the day the boys went on a scavenger hunt which led them to being JR Rangers. It was fun and educational at the same time. I enjoyed the fellowship and it was great seeing them have fun. Summer is about over and we are looking forward to 5th grade. God is good.

Tonight in the Thursday night Bethel Bible Study, we heard from Bro. Joe Ferragamo. He always brings the meat and the potatoes in his lesson. He talked about "To Truly Love The Lord" and his main text was taken from Mathew 22:37-40. What does it mean to truly love the Lord? The God we serve is a God of love. He is many other things as well. He is a God of wisdom, knowledge, goodness and even kindness, to name a few. God is love. He just does not merely love, he is love. His love is Agape love. He is selfless and cares about our needs. He doesn't just say it, he proves it to us by what he does for us. He went to Calvary and died on a cross for you and I, that's how much he loves us. There is not greater love than that of Jesus giving is life for us. The love of God is hard to comprehend, his love is so deep, wide and high. His love passes our understanding, it goes past our knowledge. Do you really understand how much God loves you? When you are filled with his spirit and baptized in his name, this is a way to experience his love for you. Every part of creation loves God. How do you know this? They do what he created and made them to do. The sun shines in the day time and the moon at night. Man-the most intelligent- are continually disobedient to God. Yet, God continues to love us and reach for us. How do we love him in return? We are to love him with all our heart, mind and soul. We are to love him above all else. He must be number one in our life. There must be nothing in our life that is more important than God. It's possible to be busy doing things and lose your love for God. We must be careful of this. Our love for God has to be greater than anything and any person. If you love him, you will keep his commandments. You are to love him first and love your neighbor as well. If you see a need and have the means to help, you must help. This is showing the love of Christ. You can not have hatred in your heart towards another person, this is not the love of God. Racism is not the love of God. With God there is no race, we are all humans that he shed his blood for. Racisms is the philosophy of men and it comes straight from hell. God created us and he loves us. We are to love one another as well. There is no reason to be fighting one another. We need to love one another. If you love God, then you will love your brother and sister. You will love your fellow mankind. Do you love God? Then love him first and love your neighbor. God is good. On a side note: I ask that you keep those in Texas that are the direct path of the Hurricane, that God will preserve life. I also would ask that you hold up a very good friend of ours in prayer. Bro. Carney has been diagnosed with cancer and is need of the healing hand of God in his life. Also, a wonderful lady by the name of Cylinda is in need of a miracle from God. These two are giants in the Kingdom of Heaven and I don't believe their work on earth is done yet. We must bombard heaven on their behalf.

I don't know how to give the right words to, today's Solar Eclipse. We woke up early and made our way to Santee State Park. It was scheduled to have a 100% eclipse. The park was absolutely beautiful. There was a lot of people in attendance at the park. Many of them had telescopes and we met a really nice man who is an Astronomer. He went by the name of "Stargeezer" and he was allowing people to watch the eclipse via his telescope. When the moon began to cross the sun, the dogs began to howl. Then, the temperature began to drop and the cricket and birds started to sing. There was the essence of a sunset on the lake. The sky above us was blue, yet all around us, it became darker and darker. Then, the stars came out! When it came to totality, all became calm. The sun and moon created this essence of a shining diamond. Then it was no longer dark. I felt this exuberant joy bubble inside of me. How beautiful and awesome is the God I serve! He was shouting from the heavens, look, see how big I am, look how great I am! If he can create something so awesome to happen in the sky, what more can he do for little me? Pictures and videos don't do the Eclipse justice. Being there and experiencing it, is something I will never forget, it was worth it all. Our God is great and He is good.

We are presently driving to South Carolina to experience the Solar Eclipse taking place tomorrow. As we traveled, we were able to attend service via live stream at Woodlawn Church in Columbia, MS and later our very own Bethel. Both sermons talked about being ready for the rapture. Both sermons expressed that there is no "right" time to give your life to God. Now is the time! We are in the last days and we need to be ready for the rapture as if it's happening today. The signs of the times are all around us, get ready. The urgency is there and we need to pay attention. We must be Christians first and love everyone. Rise above the craziness going on and keep your eyes heavenward. You never know, Jesus can come while we are observing the eclipse as it reaches its climax moment. If he does, this house is ready and excited! Tomorrow, we will be with many who have come to experience a once in a lifetime event. We are looking forward to be front and center as God displays to the whole world, how awesome he is. God is good.

Tonight I let out a little sigh and had a bittersweet moment. Summer is coming to a close and soon school will be back in full swing. This year is a milestone year. RJ will no longer be the little boy, he will be with the group of kids that are the leaders. The 5th graders, the ones that all the little kids look up to. It's a rite of passage and it's hard for this mom to take in. I'm thankful to see his newfound indendance. I'm glad to see that his walk with God is maturing. It seems we have finally won the weight gain battle and he is filling out. He's aware of the changes and is excited about them. A little boy no more. He needs me less and less. He naturally is gracitating to his dad and thinking of projects they can do together. The cuddles are fewer, but he still wants to hold my hand. My baby boy is growing up. As bittersweet as it is, I take a little step back and let him grow. I'm thankful that he is healthy and I'm thankful for the gift that he is. God is good.

There was a guest speaker tonight at Bethel. The Chad Williams Family are former Missionaries to The Pacific Islands and are now in the plans to start a church in Portland, Oregon. Bro. Williams showed a video presentation about Portland, Oregon. You can watch it here. He preached a stirring and anointed sermon on Faith. He didn't really give it a title, so I chose one. We read in Ephesians 3:20 that God is able to do exceedingly and abundantly above what we can ask or think. Whatever I can see in my mind, God can do greater things. If you don't have a lot of vision for your life, you need to know that God has a great vision for your life. Tap into his vision for you. God pay the price so the miraculous can happen for you. How does this happen..it's according to the power of God that is within you. God wants to develop it and give life through you. We are carriers of faith. Somewhere along the way when he created us, he put a little mustard seed of faith into you. When you give this faith back to God, he will do something unexplainable through you. Faith is very powerful, Luke 22:32-32. The enemy has put a target on your back. he would like to sift you and get you to give up. Be encouraged because God has prayed for you, that your faith will not fail you. We would love to be removed from the storm, but there is no growth if you are not in the storm. Growth happens during the storm, it's where we become stronger. Faith is in your miracle. If you have faith, something miraculous happens. Faith is working on your behalf. We can be missing out on our miracles, due to fear. Fear is a weapon that can't shut down miracles, but it can move you out of position of your miracle that is being poured out. Great faith is unstoppable. If you can get a glimpse of what your are in Jesus Christ, you would be unstoppable. Fear or Faith-which one are you feeding? The one you feed will control you. Mathew 17:20 speaks about having the faith as the size of a mustard seed. This faith can move mountains. You are important. Your voice combined with faith is powerful. God is never surprised, he has an answer for your mountain. Unite your voice with the faith that is inside of you and God can do the miraculous. use the faith that is inside of you. God can do the unexplainable in our lives. Mountains are not just sickness or problems in our life. They are also kingdoms that are not supposed to be there. We can speak to these with faith and the authority of Jesus name and these mountain kingdoms must fall and leave your area. Take authority in Jesus Name! God is not finished yet, don't be afraid to proclaim it. We like to take praise brakes, we need to take prayer breaks and speak faith into our day. When you grow your relationship with God, your faith grows too. Read His Word. As you read The Bible, you are feeding your faith. When The Word comes forth, faith comes running to consume it and to grow. Listening to preaching and teaching also, allows our faith to grow. When you speak your faith and allow God's power to demonstrate in your life, you can move the mountain in someone else's life. Their faith may be weak, but when your faith is strong, you can pray on their behalf. When we try to understand what is going on, we can lose the battle. We must use our spiritual eyes and trust in God. We don't need reasoning, we need revelation. Faith is infinite, it looses us and God to do beyond what we understand. When God gives you something, nothing can take it away from you. Obedience is an expression of faith. What God is telling you to do, it's time to demonstrate I and obey your faith. God is good.

We had a great church service at Solid Rock in New Jersey. Bro. Wynn preached on letting go and trading your burdens with God. When we give our situation to God he takes care of it. It was a good weekend in NJ. As we were traveling back home to NY, I was looking at what is going on in the world. It's looking more and more like we are getting closer and closer to the Lord's soon retun. It's very easy to get distracted and consumed by all the events taking place. We need to be on our knees in prayer and keeping our focus heavenward. If we are not careful our lamps will run out and we will find ourselves empty and missing out and on the Lords return. I can not and will not get pulled into debates. I will not take the anger bait. Jesus came to seek and save the lost. I must be careful to not lose sight of what matters most and that's keeping my focus on Jesus. God is good.

The world is watching as America has another heartbreaking instance of life lost due to hatred in the heart of man. I don't agree with what has taken place. If I am to be a follower of Christ, I am to love. This means the extra step of loving everyone, even the ones who have been at the heart of this horrible day in America. I don't condone it and I refuse to let if cause me to let bitterness to take place in my heart. I will fight back by teaching my son to show kindness and love. To not be afraid to stand on Christian principles. To be a light of Christ wherever he goes. This world needs Jesus, America needs Jesus. I believe we are in the last days. I refuse to be unkind and not love my fellow mankind. Not one is better than the other. I challenge you to love one another, show compassion and forgive. Do not let hatred take root in your heart. God is still good.
It dawned on me that I have not blogged in several days. RJ and I had a wonderful and love filled week in California. We came home to NY and unpacked to pack again for one more summer weekend in NJ. I'm thinking we are going to need at least a week at home of doing "nothing" to get back on NY time and a routine. It's been a good summer and I'm almost to the point where I'm ready for school to start again. Many good memories have been made. A deeper walk with God has been established. All in all it's been a summer of growing. God is good.

Twenty years ago a sweet little girl by the name of Alexis was born. She was blessed because her mom had three sisters who loved this little girl a great deal. We rocked her to sleep when she was a baby and spent countless hours doting on her. This morning, came together again to dote on her as she prepared for her wedding day. Watching her walk down the aisle brought tears to our eyes. Mathew is a good guy and we know our girl is in good hands. I love her dearly and am so glad to have been a part of her special day. Wishing you all the best to Alexis and Mathew. God is good.

I unpacked from NAYC and then packed again for California. My niece Alexis is getting married and my awesome husband made a way for RJ and I to go. It's times like these that I love airline miles. I was there when Alexis was born and I'm excited to be there when she is married. It's going to be wonderful to be with family again. We also received news that a new niece has been added to the family. We congratulate Tim and Claudia on their new little baby. She is beautiful. God is good.
