RJ's hives have not gone away and he has been a very good trouper in all of this. He did go to school today and I had a wonderful time watching him do his various field day activities and of course the high jump. Today on our date he was telling me how sad he was that today was the last field day he would have at his school because next year he will be attending a different school. I hugged him and told him to cherish his time with is classmates for the rest of the school year. As I type I am listening to the news that another tornado has hit in Oklahoma. My heart goes out to those living in the state. I pray for mercy from God from these tornadoes. God is good!

Unfortunately today when I picked RJ up from school his hives had returned. I called the Pediatrician and they told me that if he had an allergic reaction to something that caused hives, it may take a few days before it's out of his system. I once again gave him some medicine and he is now sleeping. Due to his hives, we stayed home and I came across this in my Bible reading. (NKJV)
Isaiah 57:13 "When you cry out,Let your collection of idols deliver you.But the wind will carry them all away,A breath will take them. But he who puts his trust in Me shall possess the land,And shall inherit My holy mountain.”I sat and thought about that scripture and began to think about how big God is. When we put our trust in the things we see, they can be taken away in an instant. These things/people can fail us and we can find ourselves looking around and wondering what happened and how something so foolproof fell apart. Yet, when we put our trust in God, He is above the circumstances. His way is perfect and not always how we think things should go. In the end, the promise is fulfilled and God receives all the glory. He is mighty, strong, powerful and owns a cattle on a thousand hills. NOTHING is impossible for Him. All we need to do is put our trust in Christ the Solid Rock...everything else is just sinking sand. Jesus..I place my trust in you. God is Good!

Today RJ went bowling for the first time with his classmates. He came home very excited because he had a strike..yes my 5 year old bowls for the first time and gets a strike..while I can't remember the last time I got one. When he came home, he wanted to go for a walk and enjoy the sunshine. As we were walking a very cute dog literally followed us home. He had no collar, so I didn't have a tag with a number to call. RJ was having a good time petting him and we then went on our merry way to have dinner at Friendly's. While we were waiting for our food, I looked at RJ's arm and realized it was starting to break out in a rash. I became alarmed when it spread all over his back and legs. Just GREAT! We took our food to go and rushed to the nearest drug store and promptly gave him some Benadryl. Thankfully it seems to be working and the rash is clearing up. I can only assume he broke out from petting the stray dog that was shedding all over the place. Note to self, keep all shedding animals away from RJ..he is allergic to them. Thankfully, our dog Mozart is hypoallergenic..God knew RJ would want a dog and paired us up with the perfect one for him. The stray dog gave me the impression that it belongs to someone in the neighborhood. Hopefully, he went home where he belongs. However, if he is near my home tomorrow, I'll try to locate his home, while keeping him very far away from R.J. I'm thankful it was not worse and hopefully tomorrow when he wakes up, he will be rash free. God is Good!

Tonight I missed most of our home group Bible study, but I do know it was about staying on the narrow path that leads to salvation. Since, I don't have notes to share, I will instead tell you about RJ's adventure today. This morning RJ's school had their annual egg dropping contest. This morning Bob and RJ put something together that consisted of a lot of bubble wrap around an egg. The fire department came and a two firemen took all the egg drop creations up, up, up in the air on their ladder. I think the best part was the children's squeals of delight as the ladder went higher and higher. I will admit for a second there I felt like a 5 year old again watching the ladder go up high in the air. When it came time for RJ's to be dropped, I held my breath and when it dropped, the container reminded intact. RJ and I ran over and a very jubilant little boy was shouting when the egg was unwrapped and was still in one piece. It was a good day for RJ today. God is Good!

two unifying forces have died for you. Jesus Christ and the American GI. Jesus died to save your soul and the GI died to save your freedom". This day we give honor to two soldiers, who died for a greater cause then themselves.

Today we attended church in NJ. Bro. Hanscom preached an outstanding sermon on the Holy Ghost. Two people revived the Holy Ghost at the end if the service. If you want to know more read the second book of Acts in the Bible. Tonight RJ and I were talking about the HG and how he received it at the youths praise and paint service. He said it was a zing of the HG and hoped he gets it again. We are thrilled he has been filled with the precious spirit of God. Now we will be explaining to him the importance of baptism. God is good!

Tonight Bro. Jonathan Walker taught an excellent Thursday night bible lesson. His title was "Unity, The Cross, Precious Partakers." He passed out a notes and I am going to give you the scriptures/topics he gave us. He likened his topics as a tapestry that is woven together to make a beautiful picture. Galatians 2:20-21,I Corinthians 2:2, 2 Corinthians 4:11, 2 Timothy 2:11 and Ephesians 5:25. All these scriptures tie into this: Our position must be at the foot of the cross. We measure our life there. In our prayer time we can take whatever our situation is and leave it at the foot of the cross. As we do, we can look up and see what Christ has done for us, the ultimate gift of His life and then our problems don't seem to be as big. I Corinthians 12:12-14,21-26 His Church, The Body. The church is one body and we need one another. Unity at all cost and love is the more excellent way. Spiritual Maturity chooses Love and Unity over discord and strife. If one is struggling with strife, bickering with others, it is a clue of ones spiritual condition. God is Love. John 15:13,Ephesians 2:14; The Cross must be placed before us and we must die daily. Romans 8 I Peter 5:5-11 Our responsibility and Admonition is to stay together as one. Once divided, we fall. I Peter 4:7-10 Fervent Charity II Peter 1:1, 4-10 Precious Paradigm. Precious is Invaluable, beyond calculation. Peter used this word strategic with purpose. Precious faith, precious promises, precious blood, precious stone and precious savior. The Paradigm is this: When we place everything at the foot of the cross and look through the lens of God's love and the precious faith He has entrusted to us, the church should be united in love and unity like never before. I John 2:8 With progress comes much resistance, God is calling us to a spiritual awakening and God is calling us to a biblical understand of perfect love. God is Good!

Have you ever had that moment when you can feel change in the air? There is an expectation for new beginnings and what lies around the corner. I have been feeling like that for a while. I know part of it is due to the fact that my boy will be graduating from Kindergarten added to the fact summer is coming. R.J. is rapidly turning into a little boy. His love for knowledge in all things is fun to watch and experience. I truly believe that there are going to be some huge things happening in the near future for our family. I must get on my knees and pray that when these things come we are aware and do not miss it. God is Good!

Tonight in our care group lesson the subject was based on our mood. We all have our mood swings and the bases was that we need to make sure that when we are in a bad mood, we don't stay there. To live a Christ filled life, we can choose to encourage ourselves and pull out of the downward spiral. We are all human and will have a bad day. It's up to you to chose to get out of the bad mood and have a different perspective on your bad day. God is good!

Today I saw footage online of the devastation that took place today in Oklahoma. Of all the places to be hit, an Elementary school full of children. My heart breaks for the families and those who live there. In an instant life can change. My prayer for those living in Oklahoma today is this: Psalms 34:6-7 6 This poor man cried, and the Lord heard him, and saved him out of all his troubles. 7 The angel of the Lord encampeth round about them that fear him, and delivereth them. May God speak peace into their lives and deliver them. God is good!

Today is Pentecost Sunday. This day marks the time spoken about in the book of Acts 2. God poured out His spirit and those who were praying in the upper room were filled by evidence of speaking in other tongues. I am happy to say that what happened then, still happens today. I know it does, for we had a mighty move of God at Bethel. The Indiana Bible College chorale came to Bethel today to minister in song. They sang and somewhere in the middle of all their singing the Lord showed up. I don't think I have ever seen a praise shout break out when we were taking up the offering, but well..that is a taste of what happened today. It was intense and yes, people were filled with the Holy Ghost by evidence of speaking in other tongues. Thank you IBC for coming today and for singing with an anointing. God is Good!

Have you ever looked at nature around you and noticed how detailed it is? I took a picture of an Iris that bloomed in front of my house. In the closeup of the picture, I could see intricate details of the flower. From a distance it's just a pretty flower, but close up there are detailed lines in the flower petals. Look at your fingertips and see the details of the swoops and lines that make you unique. God is like that, He is into the details. He doesn't just do something without going into depths and creating a one of a kind masterpiece. You are a unique creation, not just a body walking around. Look in the mirror and pay attention not to the flaws, but the details that God put into you. You are a masterpiece of God's design. God is Good!

Tonight Bob and RJ were looking at pictures from when RJ was a baby. I sat and watched our little boy as he became excited as he remembered places and things in the picture. 5 years have gone by very quickly and nostalgia came over me. It seems like yesterday my boy was a baby sitting next to his dad trying to eat the newspaper he was reading. Now, he is sitting next to his dad trying to read the words on the paper. He is so big, yet still my baby. I love my boy and I love my husband. I'm glad I took those pictures of regular moments..those are the most precious ones of all. God is good!

New International Version (NIV) Psalm 23 I have been sick all day, so I will share a passage from the Bible with you. A psalm of David. 1 The Lord is my shepherd, I lack nothing. 2 He makes me lie down in green pastures, he leads me beside quiet waters, 3 he refreshes my soul. He guides me along the right paths for his name’s sake. 4 Even though I walk through the darkest valley,[a] I will fear no evil, for you are with me; your rod and your staff, they comfort me. 5 You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies. You anoint my head with oil; my cup overflows. 6 Surely your goodness and love will follow me all the days of my life, and I will dwell in the house of the Lord forever. God is Good!

Unfortunately I have come down with what ever sickness my husband had several days ago. Since Bob is presently on his way home and driving, and my voice is gone due to being sick, I was not able to read the Bible out loud to RJ. I did however discover that my Bible app on my phone had a feature where the scriptures are read out loud to you. As I was listening to God's word two words stood out to me..Darkest Night. I started to think about the times in my life that were dark nights. Every time I have gone through some rough things, God has always been there and His light would cause the darkness to go away. We had a very big victory happen for us today. It feels as if a ray of light is breaking through for us. Even though I am so sick that it's taking an effort to type this, I am shouting on the inside. God is Able! He is...really and truly, He is. When God speaks something into existence it is and when God says let it be so, it happens. God is speaking into our lives and I am rejoicing for it. God is good!

Today RJ and I were out eating a snack. As we were eating we noticed a lot of people getting excited and taking pictures with a young lady. We were the only ones not asking for a picture and acting star struck. I finally found out she was a well known actress from Nickelodeon. Of course RJ and I were clueless as to who she was and continued on with our snack. When she walked past us she gave a big smile and we just smiled back. We were the only ones in the place who could care less about who she was. I was happy to know that she was unfamous to myself and RJ. We get excited over missionaries and people who are changing the world for the good. RJ was not impressed and found his ice cream to be much more entertaining. Change a life for the good and I will become excited when you are in the room and most likely be the only person wanting to take a picture with you. God is Good!

Today I have the joy of talking on the phone with my mommy and my adopted mom. I was thinking tonight after our conversations how blessed I am to have so much love poured into my life. I think this was the best Mother's Day for me. Yesterday we planted flowers in the backyard and baked cookies. Today Bob and RJ made me breakfast and RJ was showering me with a lot of love all day long. The highlight was when the children came out at church to sing for the mothers. When my boy saw me he lit up and started blowing me kisses. OH wow..my heart melted..that will carry me for a whole year. I am so thankful to be a mommy, I wouldn't trade this joy for anything else in the world. God is Good!

Mother's Day starts today in our home. RJ goes with my husband to pick out flowers at our church's annual flower sale. We spent most of the morning planting them all over the backyard. These flowers will last into summer and keep the backyard very festive. His theme this year was rainbow and I think he achieved his goal. We had just finished planting when it started to pour. RJ was running around the house thanking God for watering the flowers for us. Since it had become a rainy day, RJ then decided to bake me some crazy chocolate cookies. They were some strange shapes and very yummy. I'm so thankful for my son, he is a wonderful gift from God. God is good!

Have you ever looked up into the sky and saw a glimpse of a rainbow? We get pretty excited when we see them and really excited when we see a full rainbow. Rainbows are such pretty presents after a rainy spring day. In life we have rain as well. The other day I was talking to the Lord about some of the rain going on in our life. I asked God if He would be so kind as to give us some rainbows in the middle of all our rain. Over the past few days we have been getting rainbow glimpse. So far the rain is still falling and sometimes down-pouring in our lives. Yet, every once in a while a glimpse of a rainbow appears. These rainbow glimpse give me strength and continue my resolve to trust in the Lord at all times, in the rain and the sunshine. God is Good!

Tonight Pastor Davis taught a really good lesson about where our eyes are fixed. He taught from James 1:1-12. He talked about how troubles will come our way and gave us three points. 1. Troubles are certain: John 16:33 everyone faces problems no matter who they are. 2. Trouble is no respecter of persons: Matthew 5:45 we are a blessed people in a cursed world. 3. Trouble has a purpose: Romans 5:3-5. God has a plan for what is going on in our life. Trouble produces patience, patience produces experience, experience produces hope(trust) and hope/trust produces boldness. He said something funny...on this earth gold is very precious, but in heaven gold is asphalt. The lesson then went on to 2 Corinthians 4:18 We must use our 6th sense with is our spiritual eyes and keep them fixed on God. For there are things going on around us and working for our good that we can't see. As long as we keep our focus up and not allow our troubles to overwhelm us, we will come through our troubles. God is Good!

Today I went to see the ENT specialist in Manhattan. I clearly picked the right doctor because he focused on what I have, cleidocranial dysplasia. He was very knowledgeable and like a doctor who loves what he does, became excited when he looked at my CT scan results. He was able to give me a clear and concise diagnosis. I learned today for the first time that I was born with out a Eustachian Tube in my right ear and the same tube in my left ear is deformed. Due to being born without this tube my right ear is not able to push air up and therefore instead became a vacuum that caused my ear drum to wrap itself around the bones in my ear. My hearing loss will not get worse in my right ear and may get worse in my left ear. This is something that can not be operated on, but I can get hearing aides and for the first time truly hear. Then...he showed me my hearing test results from March and the hearing test results from today...guess what..he said that there was unexplainable improvement in my right ear. He said it was impossible for my hearing to improve. I smiled and told him I was prayed for at church and he just said he can't say what happened, but that my hearing had improved when it was impossible for such a thing to happen. I know what happened...two Sunday's ago I went forward to be prayed for and my ears popped....according to the CT scan and my deformity, they can't pop. There is healing in the name of Jesus! God is Good!

This was in our Bible Reading tonight...I wanted to share it with you. Psalms 125 They that trust in the Lord shall be as mount Zion, which cannot be removed, but abideth for ever. 2 As the mountains are round about Jerusalem, so the Lord is round about his people from henceforth even for ever. 3 For the rod of the wicked shall not rest upon the lot of the righteous; lest the righteous put forth their hands unto iniquity. 4 Do good, O Lord, unto those that be good, and to them that are upright in their hearts. 5 As for such as turn aside unto their crooked ways, the Lord shall lead them forth with the workers of iniquity: but peace shall be upon Israel. Tomorrow I will be going to see the ENT specialist. I ask for your prayers that it will be a productive time. God is Good!

This past Sunday Bishop Davis asked us to read the 4th chapter of Daniel which you can read here. As well as John 18:36 Jesus answered, My kingdom is not of this world: if my kingdom were of this world, then would my servants fight, that I should not be delivered to the Jews: but now is my kingdom not from hence. Read it and study it and know that we live in a world that is changing rapidly. Tonight we said goodbye to the Klines. They will be leaving in the morning...I'm sad to see them go. It's always an honor to have a missionary stay in our home, our lives are enriched without fail when they come. Our prayer is they were blessed while they were here. God is Good!

Today we left church early due to a meeting we had to be at. We had a guest speaker and he was just getting started when we left. It seemed to me that it was going to be a good sermon. Since I was not there to hear the sermon I won't be blogging about it. However, I do want to talk about when God says no. We have been waiting to hear an answer to something and this weekend we received it. The answer was a very big no. We were in shock and just couldn't understand. This morning we had a choice, we could be upset because God said no, or we could worship Him...guess what..we worshipped the Lord anyway. We believe that all things work together for the good. There is good that will come out of the No, even if we don't see it right now. We will choose to know that God is in control and if He is saying no, He will say yes, to something better. God is good!

Today I attended a Ladies Ministry Session. Sis. Mickey Mangun was the special speaker. She has been one of my heroes my whole life. When I heard she was going to be the speaker, I was so excited. She spoke on our Legacy. Our Legacy is being determined now and we can be a good example for others to follow or a an example of what not to follow. Who we are and what we do today will determine what we will be remembered as and the impact we will have on the future. She talked about how we have the ideal me and the real me. How we need to be realistic about who we really are. It was a soul searching lesson and it changed something in me. My prayer is the change stays..I don't want to forget what she taught us. I want to be who God desires me to be...I'm human, not perfect..but there are gifts that God has given me, I can use them. Time spent talking with her afterwards are a great treasure to me. This evening was followed with wonderful fellowship with the Klines. We have truly enjoyed getting to know them, they are good people. Once again, I ask that if you would like to support them in what they are doing for God in Lesotho, please click here. God is Good!

This weekend is our annual New York Metro District Conferences. Last night was the kick off rally and it was intense. Bro. Mangun preached about the importance of the Church. It truly is time to rise up and be the church, our voices must no longer be silent. He challenged us to reach one soul each before the year was over. The highlight for me was that Sis Mangun sang and I LOVE hearing her sing. We have two more services which I am sure will be outstanding. We also have missionaries staying with us. The Klines are almost done with deputation and are still needing PIM's. If you would like to Partner In Missions with them, please click here. God is Good!

Yesterday when the funeral was over as we were leaving the sanctuary the piano player played a very old song. This song brought back many happy memories growing up as a child. Tonight I was thinking about the song and thought to myself how true this song is. Here are the lyrics to "Soon and Very Soon" written by Andrae Crouch: (you can also click on the title and hear the song) Cell [Chorus:] Soon and very soon We are going to see the King Soon and very soon We are going to see the King Soon and very soon We are going to see the King Hallelujah, hallelujah, We're going to see the king No more cryin there, We are going to see the King No more cryin there, We are going to see the King No more cryin there, We are going to see the King Hallelujah, hallelujah, We're going to see the King [Bridge:] Should there be any rivers we must cross Should there be any mountains we must climb Find More lyrics at www.sweetslyrics.com God will *supply* all the strength that we need Give us strength till we reach the other side. [Verse:] We have come from every nation, God has already signed our name. Jesus took his blood and he washed my sins.. he washed them all away. Yet there are those of us who have laid down our lives but we all shall meet again on the other side... soon and very soon. [Chorus] [Bridge] [Ending:] Hallelujah Halleljuah We're going to see the King! God is Good!
